I appreciate the past. I look forward to the future. But most of all I love the present.
-Charcoal studies I did for myself, as well as a recent commission work for a client with a very creative and interesting outlook on classical art work. The sketches were done at Shimoda, Japan.

Rabbitech - A Robotic Rabbit War Machine
STAY!
I guess I thought about Max in 'Where the Wild Things Are'. Or Peter from 'Peter Pan'. You always wish you could stay in a place of mysticism and magic. It's only human nature to come up with surreal worlds. "Stay!", yells the giant face. "Gladly, in your mouth!" you respond. I hope that it makes sense to you.

Under the Ax : Stop Motion Short
A Senior Thesis that is still in the progression of completion. I'll keep working on it. Promise.
Auto has completely changed appearances - a last minute character design change that helped me personally, feel more empathetic with my main protagonist. I mean, what the fuck is the point if you don't succeed in making your audience feel that?

Mechanical Magnificence - The House of Machines
This set was so much fun to build. The concrete look is achieved with styrofoam painted over with grey acrylic. Dressed with cracks and little wires sticking out, I find it convincing enough. I also was allowed by my daddio to take apart a DVD player, the circuit boards are an intriguing detail, adds character. Little robot pieces, little overhead lamps, security cameras that spin like a top, chains crunching, a rotating ceiling fan, this house really comes to life in the master shot! Roughly 1,200 photos taken here.

Tree + Tree = Some Trees + Cheating it with a Camera = Forest
This is the forest where all the beautiful meetings happen. Roughly 2,000 photos take place here. The trees are sculpted out of sculpey, painted on top with acrylic. The rocks are made up of Chipotle napkins that I hot glued into rocky shapes. All the foliage dressing is from a model train store. Enter the forest!

Eldridge. You snappy little tweaker.
Headbutting turtle shells. Leaves you in tears.
I realized after looking at the blog / my portfolio... I haven't attempted a realistic sculpt. So my mind wandered through planet earth and behold, it collided with a turtle. He said draw me. So I did. He said give me a beautiful shell. I said nothing can be as beautiful as yours. He slapped me with his flipper. I've always wanted to feel turtle flippers. I chose 5 photo's stepping into the processes of creating Eldridge.
